Relocating around the world on a long-term assignment can be a stressful experience. It can often take a little while to settle into a new location, especially one with an alien culture.

Having a cultural understanding of the host country is key to a successful international assignment.

1. TRAINING OBJECTIVES

This personalised one-to-one cross-cultural training and coaching session will support assignees and families to better understand their host country thus facilitating their integration into their professional and personal environment.

2. WHO SHOULD PARTICIPATE?

All employees either arriving or having arrived in their new assignment less than 1 year ago, and who are keen to get the most out of their expatriation.

3. WHAT WILL YOU GET OUT OF IT?

The aim of the intercultural training is to support integration and soften the transition upon arrival into the host country.
The agenda of this training covers expatriates’ 4 new life perspectives:

– Know better your new country; Switzerland, its culture, codes and etiquette;

– Expatriation & culture shock process arriving in Switzerland; what to be aware of and how to handle the relocation challenges in the best way for each family member;

– Cultural differences and their impact in the workplace; analyses on how national cultural differences impact business, or how to better navigate the complexity of cultural differences in a local and global environment and/or within a new team.

– Third culture kids; Successful childrens’ transition is key for the balance of the whole family and enhances their resilience capability. Children will succeed in this challenge when they receive appropriate family support;

– Partner integration/new project (various useful information, job search, coaching on a specific topic etc..). Introduction of partner programme (link).
